Haraldsplass Deaconess University College (HDUC) acknowledges that being a small college in a small country it is essential to preserve and expand our network abroad.

Exchange of knowledge, experience and cultural understanding across national borders is an instrument for growth and professional development.

HDUC has a wide network of collaboration partners abroad. Students and teachers have over the years accomplished training in approximately 25 hospitals in 20 different countries throughout the world.

Study or clinical placement abroad
As student at HDCU you have the opportunity to go abroad for a training period in the second or the third year during the study at HDUC.

As a foreign student within the Nordplus or Erasmus network you are welcome to apply for a training period arranged from HDUC. Contact your home institution for more information.

Currently, almost all the lectures at Haraldsplass Deaconess University College (HDUC) are given in Norwegian. We have started with one English module and are planning at least one more.

Ways of going abroad for training
There is basically four ways of going abroad for training during the study at HDUC:

1. Within the Nordplus program
4. Within the Erasmus program
2. Exchange within bilateral agreements
3. Exchange of freemovers (the students are arranging a observational clinical placements themselves).
